Your food log is on this phone
This phone holds a food log from before accounts — your days, saved foods and workouts. Claim it into your account and it all moves over, exactly as it is. Your saved targets come with it, unchanged.
Fiber, sodium and vitamin marks are the standard FDA daily reference values — reference points, not Unc's targets. A dash means none of today's foods published that number.

Search foods
An honest word on plate photos: they are rough. In NIH testing, photo apps missed about a third of a meal's calories — mostly fats a camera cannot see, like oils and dressings. Treat every number here as a draft: fix the portions, add any oil or sauce you used, then log.

Quick add
Just the numbers you know, logged straight to the day. Nothing is saved to your library — for a food you will eat again, use the form below instead.

Scan a barcode
The barcode button by the search bar does the same thing — or type the number here.
These are the published facts for this exact product. Save it and it stays in your library — next time the same barcode lands straight on the portion sheet.

Runs
Recording uses this phone's GPS, so keep Pocket Trainer open with the screen on while you run — a web app can't track in the background. Calories on a phone-recorded run are an estimate, worked out from your weight, your pace and the hills. Runs from an Apple Watch arrive through Apple Health with the Watch's own real numbers.

Ask Unc
Straight answers from your own numbers — what's left today, what closes your protein, and the best protein for the money. No fluff. Type it, or tap Talk and say it: "I ate a small bean burrito — add it to my breakfast."

Finish setting up
A few quick things make Pocket Trainer work its best. Do them whenever — nothing here blocks the app, and each step leaves the list when it's done.

This is your account — one account, one profile. Everything here is saved to your account, not just this phone.

Phone notifications
Unc can talk to your phone: a roast when the junk piles up, straight talk when you hit your marks, and a warning in the evening when your protein is still short. At most three a day, and never between 10 pm and 7 am.
On an iPhone, notifications only arrive when Pocket Trainer is on your Home Screen: tap Share, then "Add to Home Screen", open the app from that icon, and turn this on there.
